ARTICLES
OF AGREEMENT made and concluded on this seventh day of March in the
year one thousand eight hundred and twenty by and between Andrew Booth
of Pymatuning Township, Mercer County and State of Pennsylvania of the
one part & William Booth of the same place of the other part.
Witnesseth
that the said Andrew Booth for & in consideration of the sum of one
hundred & fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said William
Booth. The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted,
bargained, & sold & by these presents doth grant, bargain &
sell unto the said William Booth fifty acres of land off the Northeast
corner of the land he the said Andrew now lives on including his
improvement, which said fifty acres I bind myself, my heirs, executors,
administrators & assigns to make unto the said William a complete
title on five years from this date. The said Andrew doth also by these
presents give unto the said William all his right, title, interest
& claim to fifty one acres and eleven perches more adjoining the
above on the South with the said William paying unto the said Andrew
all the taxes which have occurred on the same since he the said Andrew
settled on the same land & the lines which this day have been run
to the boundaries of the said two pieces which pieces includes one
hundred and one acres & eleven perches and if the said Andrew
should purchase the warrant of the tract of land of which the above is
a part he the said Andrew is to exact no more from him the said
William for the fifty one acres and eleven perches only at the rate per
unit acre for which he purchases whatever may be contained in the said
warrant & the said William doth covenant & agree to pay unto
the said Andrew at the time he makes his payment or payments for the
land contained in the said warrant a dividend in proportion to the land
which the said warrant may cover & for the true performance of all
& singular the above agreements we bind ourselves, our heirs,
executors, administrators & assigns each to the other his
executors, administrators & assigns in the penal sum of one
thousand dollars lawful money of the United States.
In witness whereof we have hereunto interchangeably set our hands and seals the day & year above written.
