Mrs. Phoebe McKee,
relict of the late John McKee, died at her residence on Meadville
street on Tuesday last, aged 49 years, 9 months and 13 days. Mrs. McKee
had been afflicted for some years with dropsy and heart troubles, but
it was not until a few weeks since that her condition became critical.
Since the last severe attack of this dread disease, it became apparent
that death must ensue and come to her relief. Deceased leaves a family
of eight children, who are left parent less. The youngest is 12
years of age. Two of the daughters are married: Mrs. Andrew Davis, of
Hartstown, and Mrs. J. C. Alexander, of this place. The funeral will
take place from the late residence on Meadville street, today
(Thursday) at 3 p.m. The friends of the family are respectfully invited
to attend.
