Richard Emery Turner,
former resident of Greenville, died Sunday morning at 2 o'clock at his
home in Bartlesville, Ok'a. Mr. Turner was born in Salem township,
January 11, 1857, the son of Samuel Turner and Elmira [sic - Almira]
Pearsall [sic - Piersol]. For a number of years he was in the furniture
business in Green ville and left about 15 years ago for Bartlesville.
His
wife, who survives him, was Miss Ella Harnett, daughter of former
residents of this section, bit at the time of his marriage a resident
of Chicago. He is also survived by two children, Ralph R. Turner of New
York City and Mrs. Thomas Walker of Bartlesville, Okla., one sister,
Mrs. W.H. Simons of Clark's Mills, and one brother, Syrenus of Carlton.
Burial will take place at Bartlesville.

FUNERAL FOR CITY PIONEER IS HELD R. E. Turner a Native of Pennsylvania, Came Here 15 Years Ago
Funeral services for R. E. Turner, 68, were held from the family home, 600 Cherokee avenue, at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon.
Mr.
Turner, who died at 1:45 o'clock Sunday morning was a pioneer citizen
of Bartlesville, having come to this city in 1910. In that year he
moved with his family from Greenville, Pa., and entered the feed and
grain business.
Mr. Turner was born in Salem, Pa., and spent his
early boyhood in that city. Later he moved to Greenville, Pa., where he
engaged in business.
Coming as the result of a stroke of paralysis, his death put an end to several months illness.
Mr.
Turner is survived by his widow, Ella H. Turner, a son, Ralph Turner of
