Mrs. Myrtle E. Jamison,
219 West Poplar St., Grove City, died at her residence today [17 Aug
1956], at 9:50 a.m. following a lingering illness. She was 87.
Born
in Sandy Lake June 8, 1869, she was the daughter of the late Archibald
and Susanna Barnes McBride. She was married to W. Charles Jamison
who died in 1952. Prior to Mr. Jamison's death, the had
celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary.
She had been a resident of Grove City for the past five months moving there from Millbrook Rd. where she had lived for 84 years.
She was graduated from Sandy Lake Institute and taught in a rural school for two years.
Mrs.
Jamison was a member of the Ebenezer Untied Presbyterian Church, a life
member of the missionary society and the women's bible class of the
church. She was a charter member of the Millbrook grange.
Surviving
are the following children: Lois Jamison of Grove City; Kenneth
Jamison, Greenville; Paul Jamison, Mercer, and Mrs. R. E. (Ruth)
Williams, Erie, and the three grandchildren.
She is the last member of a family of 11 children.
