John Lytle, a former
resident of this place [West Middlesex], died last Wednesday [8 Nov
1899], at New Castle, aged 55 years. The remains were brought here and
buried Friday afternoon from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kate
Stewart. Five children are left to mourn his loss, The deceased was a
member of the 142d regiment, P.V., during the civil war.
