Mrs. Almina Dumars.
Mrs.
Almina Klingensmith Reed Dumars was born April 6, 1851 in Greenwood,
Crawford County, Pa., died August 19, 1916 at 8 p.m., at Kennard.
Deceased
was daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Klingensmith and is survived by
five sisters: Mrs. William Shepard, Salem, Pa.; Mrs. Margaret Hoyland,
New Salem, Kansas; Mrs Lydia Mann, Astabula, Ohio; Mrs. Aaron Van
Riper, Meadville, and Mrs. Jennie Bailey, Bradford, Pa.
She was
married to J. W. Reed, of Jamestown, Pa., April 26, 1871. He died June
25, 1886, and to this union seven children remain; Mrs. E.B. McManus, Windham,
Ohio; Mrs. F.D Stevenson, Cleveland, Ohio; John T. Reed, of Greenville,
Pa.; Mrs. M.H. Haas, of Meadville, Pa.; Mrs. J. Vincent Brown, Greenville, Pa.; Mrs. Fayette N. South of Cleveland, Ohio; and Miss Vernal Reed of Meadville.
She
was married to N. W. Dumars, Kennard, Pa, January 17, 1891, and two
children remain from this union, Miss Ruth Dumars, Kennard, and Mrs.
James M. Bean, of Greenville.
She was a lifelong Church member
and died with all the rights of the United Presbyterian Church. She was
a noble character, kind and loving mother and at all times had the good will of the community in which she lived.
