| Susan
Smith Burdette, 69, died 2 Jan 1948, at Mercer. Mrs. Burdette
was born 15 Feb 1878,at Raymilton, Venango Co., to Samuel and Malissa
Green Smith. She married Lester Burdette on 27 May 1897 in Jackson
Center. After her marriage, she spent the rest of her life on the family
farm in Worth Twp. She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, sons Elton and Charles, brothers Burton Smith, Vernon Smith,
Clinton Smith, and sister Maude Smith. She is survived by Sons Clarence,
Oscar, Norris, David Herman, daughter Villa Elford, brothers, John
Smith, Levi Smith, Harry Smith, sisters, Matilda Jane Day, Minnie Pizer,
Nancy Billig, Kate Flickner, Lottie Swatzler, and Flora Hedglin. Burial
will be 5 Jan 1948 in Pleasant
Hill Cemetery, Jackson Center.
