Ruth Taylor

A graveside service for Ruth Gruber Taylor, 89, formerly 150 Benefield Ave., will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday in Highland Burial Park by the Rev. Caldwell Day.
She died Saturday, April 20, 1996, at Blue Ridge Nursing Center, Martinsville. She was in the nursing center for a year.

Born Jan. 17, 1907, in Greenville, Pa., she was the daughter of J. Robert Gruger and Nora Derr Gruger.
She was married to Cedric Raymond Taylor on Jan. 16, 1945; he died on Sept. 23, 1992.

She moved to Danville in 1946 and was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and secretary to the superintendent of schools in Greenville, Pa., before moving here.

Survivors include a sister, Gladys Gruber Sibley of Greenville.

The family will receive friends 7:30-8:30 tonight at Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Home, North Main Chapel.
