Oliver T. Burdett,
age 54,died at his farm near Millbrook of paralysis, on April 10, 1876. He
was born at Naseby, Northamptonshire, England, February 4, 1822, to John
and Mary Linnett Burdett. He emigrated to Mercer County in May 1842. He
married Abigail, daughter of Clement and Sarah Sewall in 1844 in
Lackawannock Twp. Abigail died in 1853 and he married Mary Huston Key on
Jan 7 1869 in Lake Twp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife
Abigail, siblings Phebe, Moses, William, Jeremiah, Robert, Cromwell, and
Hannah. He is survived by wife, Mary, children, Oliver H. Burdett,
William Burdett, Mary Eleanor Johnston, Sarah Lyons, Charles Burdett, Emma
Burdett, Frank Burdett, Lester Burdett, and step children William Key,
Elizabeth Key, and Samuel Key. He is survived by siblings John, Ursula and
Ann. Oliver served in the 55th Regiment of the Pennsylvania Militia during
the Civil War. He will be buried in Bethany Cemetery in Lake Twp.
