MRS. VIOLA A. METZ

Mrs. Viola Anna Patton Metz, a former Shenango Valley resident, died this morning in Mercer County Hospital where she had been a patient for the past 13 years. She was 75.

Mrs. Metz was born April 27, 1873, in Sharpsville a daughter of Miles Joy and Augusta Anna Willbright Patton.  She lived for a time in Sharon, but spent most of her life in Farrell where she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Buhl Circle 180 Protected Home Circle.

Surviving are two daughters, Miss Hazel Mae Patton, Farrell and Theodora wife of Clyde Melvin Horsman, New Virginia; two sons, Joseph I. Metz Sharon and Albert G. Metz Masury; a brother Joseph A. Patton, Sharon and nine grandchildren

A sister Mrs. Ashton Tribby died in September of 1945.
