  John J. Houston
Mr. John J. Houston died Wednesday afternoon at the home of his son E.R. in Findley Township, aged almost 78 years. He has been in poor health for the past two years, but the illness which caused his death was of short duration, the end resulting from a complication incident to advanced age.

Most of his life he spent in Findley Township, moving to Mercer a few years ago and was widely known and respected. He was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church and man of unquestioned integrity. He is survived by his wife, two sons, E.R. of Findley Township and Walter H. Houston of Columbus, Ohio and one daughter Mrs. R. D. Vance of Westview, Allegheny County. Three brothers, William of Mercer, James of Findley Township, and Rev. T.A. of Darlington, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Wilson of Findley township are also living.

Arrangements for this funeral have not been completed but will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1 o’clock.

[John J. Houston is buried in Findley Cemetery in Findley Township.]
