Mrs. Charles A. Patton

Mrs Josephine Patton 4225 Morefield Rd., Hickory Twp. widow of Charles A. Patton died at 9:40 pm Friday in Mercer County Hospital. She was 93.

Born in Mercer County June 5, 1875, She was a daughter of William and Eliza Mitchell Swogger.  She was married Aug 12, 1891. She was a member of the East Side Church (Baptist Disciples of Christ) here. Mrs. Patton attended the Coolsprings Twp. School.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Frank (Grace Cleora) Black and Mrs. Gordon (Vanna) Minner, both of Sharon and Mrs Edwin (Helen Frances) Morton West Middlesex; four sons Willis H. Clearwater Fla, Perry A and Logan, both of Hickory and Wallace, Long Beach Calf.; 14 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.  Besides her husband, a son preceded her in death.

Patton Service

Service for Mrs Charles A (Josephine) Patton 4225 Morefield Rd, Hickory Twp was held Monday at the John H. McManus Funeral Home, Sharon. Mrs Patton died Friday at the age of 93. The Rev. Kenneth T Hand, Pastor of East Side Church (BDof C) officiated the service. Burial was held in the Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Richard and Charles Morton, Albert Minner all grandsons, and Thomas Johnston, Gerald Sturnbrook and Donald Miller.
