  John Jones 

Mr. John Jones of East Lackawannock died on Tuesday evening September 27, after an illness of 2 weeks. He was born in Chester County in 1802 and in 1806 his parents removed to Lawrence County. Here he lived until 1827 when he married and came to this county settling on the farm in East Lackawannock township where he lived ever since. Mr. Jones was a leading citizen of the township and served 3 terms as Justice of the Peace. He was an attendant for the Unity Church. He was the father of 7 children of whom 5 survive him.
