DENTON, Texas- John A.
Millsop, Lake Dallas, formerly of S. Center Street, Grove City, died at
4 p.m. Monday (1-10-83) in Flow Hospital, Denton, after a lengthy
illness. He was 77.
Mr. Millsop was born in Grove City July 5, 1905, to William and Sarah
Jane Shaw Millsop. His wife, the former Gladys E. Smith, died in June
1979.
On July 31, 1970, he retired from Cooper Energy Services, Grove City,
where he had been a project engineer
for 40 years.
He was a member of East Main
United Presbyterian Church and the Elks Lodge, both in Grove City.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Domingo (Candy) Mariani, Orbendorf,
Germany; a son Kirby Millsop, Lake Dallas; two grandchildren, and four
great-grandchildren. His wife, parents, a daughter, Georgene, two
brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Service was held Thursday in the John C. Dorr Funeral Home, Grove City,
with the Rev. John L. Dunlap Jr., associate pastor of East Main United
Presbyterian Church, Grove City, officiating.
Burial in Woodland Cemetery, Grove City.
