  Hannah Bunnell

MRS. HANNAH BUNNELL

Death coming quietly and peacefully ended the life of another of Mercer County's well-known pioneer residents Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, when after two months' illness with cancer of the stomach, Mrs. Hannah Bunnell, aged 83 years, passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Wm. S. McGeehon, 608 Market St., Youngstown.

Mrs. Bunnell was born in Armstrong County, but when still an infant, moved to Mercer Co. with her parents, residing at Clarksville, where she remained all her life until a few years ago when she took up her residence with her daughter in Youngstown. Mrs. Bunnell was a member of the Methodist Church of Clarksville, and leaves a host of friends in that borough as well as in Sharon and throughout this part of the county.  Mrs. George Phillips, a daughter of this city, was present at the bedside when death came.

The deceased leaves a large family of descendants consisting of nine daughters and sons, 35 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.  The daughters and sons are: Mrs. R. J. Chapman, of New Castle; Jesse Bunnell, of Beaver Falls; Charles Bunnell and Mrs. Kate Hardaker, of Los Angeles, Cal; Mrs. George Phillips and Mrs. T. H. Godfrey, of Sharon; Joseph Bunnell, South Sharon; Mrs. Wm. Porter, of Ashtabula; and Mrs. William McGeehon, of Youngstown.  Among the grandchildren are Charles, Frank and Sam Flowers of this city.

The funeral services were held from the home of Mrs. and Mrs. McGeehon at Youngstown Saturday at 9 o'clock a.m. after which the body will be taken to Clarksville for internment.  Services were held in the M.E. Church at Clarksville at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Van Engan, an old friend of the deceased.
