Ellen
Hancock, 75, died on 10 Sep 1940 at her home in Leesburg. She
was born 25 Feb 1865,in Lawton, Cheshire, England, to William and Jane
Stonier Hodgkinson. She married William Hancock on 15 Apr 1885, at Kent
Green, Cheshire, England. She emigrated to Leesburg in May 1908, with her
children to join her husband who came over in 1906. She lived on the
family farm south of Leesburg from 1908 until her death. She was preceded
in death by her parents, her husband, and daughter Margaret. She is
survived by her sister, Jane Belfield, Jackson Center, sons, William,
Leesburg, James, New Castle, Donald, Corning, New York, daughters, Mary
