Edwin J. Brown, Mercer-Greenville Road, Jefferson, Mercer RD 2, died at home at 7:30 a.m. today (11-10-78) after an unexpected illness. He was 80.
Mr. Brown was born in Jefferson Sept. 1, 1898, to John and Anna Garde Brown.
He was a self-employed businessman and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Mercer.
Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret W. O'Mahoney, whom he married June 25, 1927, at home; four daughters, Joanne, Mercer RD 2; Mrs. Darvin (Margery) Sherman, Mercer;
Mrs. R. P. (Lenore) Breth, Butler, Pa.;Mrs. Cathy Heatley, Mercer RD 2, three sons, Robert J., Mercer; Edwin M., Mercer RD 4, and Mark, Mercer; a brother, Francis M., Greenville, and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, John; three brothers, William, Paul and John, and three sisters, Katherine, Ellen and Mary.
