Dennis Geary Patrick Brown, 500 Moss Lane, Pymatuning Township, died at 10:30 a.m. Monday (9-10-01) in UPMC Horizon, Greenville. He was 69. 

Mr. Brown was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Greenville to Francis M. and Marguerite Geary Brown. 

The 1950 graduate of St. Michael's High School, Greenville, played on the school's football team. 

He retired in 1991 after 37 years as an assembler with Reznor, a unit of Thomas & Betts Corp., Mercer. Mr. Brown served as union representative for Local 7099 AFL-CIO at Reznor and as financial secretary for many years. He also was their grievance committee representative. 

Mr. Brown was a member of St. Michael's Church, Greenville, where he received a Parishioner of the Year Award in 1996. He had served on Parish Council and was a past usher. Mr. Brown spearheaded the Right to Life Memorial Markers at St. Michael's and St. Margaret Church, Jamestown. They were sponsored by Knights of Columbus Joseph J. Fitzmartin Council 1446, Greenville. 

He was a lifetime honorary member of Knights of Columbus, Greenville. Mr. Brown held all the offices for the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights, and had served on the Erie Degree Team. 

He was a strong supporter of St. Michael School, Greenville, and its sports. Mr. Brown also was an active member of the Reynolds Booster Club and coached Reynolds Little League. He was an avid Notre Dame fan. 

Mr. Brown entertained in many Minstrel shows all over Pennsylvania and was part of Father James Kearns Minstrel Shows in Greenville. 

He enjoyed cooking and entertaining his grandchildren. 

Surviving are: his wife, the former Mary Ann Rose, whom he married Oct. 1, 1960; two daughters, Mrs. Randall (Mary Lynne) Reimold, Jamestown; and Michele K. Brown, at home; a son, Brian G. Brown and his wife, Robin, Greenville; two sisters, Elizabeth Seiver, Greenville; and Mary Ann Lafferty, Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, F. Warren Brown and James T. Brown, both Greenville; and five grandchildren, Anthony, Joshua and Sean "Gunner" Brown; and Shayne and Jacob Reimold. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Florence Sanders; and a brother, William Brown. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael School Endowment Fund, 85 N. High St., Greenville 16125.

Service: Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (9-13-01) in St. Michael's Church, 85 N. High St., Greenville. with Monsignor Andrew H. Karg, pastor, as celebrant. 
Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery, Greenville.
