  Clarence E. Giebner 

DEATH ROLL

Clarence E. Giebner, 67, of 29 Bessemer Street, died at 7:05 p.m., Monday, June 16, 1952, at the residence.

A son of Elmer E. and Lovenia Anderson Giebner, he was born Feb. 25, 1885, in Millbrook, Worth Township, and had been a resident of Worth and Hempfield Townships as well as Greenville.

Mr. Giebner was a township supervisor for 18 years in Hempfield Township where he also operated a farm. He worked for a time at the Greenville Steel Car Company and retired in 1949 as custodian of Rissell Gymnasium at Thiel College.

He was affiliated with the Methodist Church.

Mr. Giebner is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Perrine Giebner, to whom he was married Oct. 24, 1906; three sons, Paul Giebner, Cleveland; Clair Giebner, Sharon, and Arthur Giebner, Chicago; a brother, William A. Giebner, Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Bowles, Stoneboro; Mrs. Florence Rodgers, Grove City, and Mrs. Alice Clarke, Mercer; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death in September, 1951, by a sister, Mrs. Carrie Johnson.

Funeral services are slated for 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Osborn and Son funeral home with Rev. Wendell Minnigh officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Sharon.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
