Mrs. Anna
Brown, 81, widow of John Brown, Jefferson Twp.,
died (1-7-1942) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Hurley,
Cleveland.
Mrs. Brown was a lifelong member of All Saints Catholic church, Mercer,
and was highly respected in the Mercer community. Her husband preceded
her in death in 1929.
Mrs. Brown was born June 26, 1860 in Jefferson Twp., the daughter of
Thomas and Ellen O'Connor Gard.
Surviving are the following children: William and Edward Brown, R.D.,
Mercer; Mrs. Mary Hurley, Miss Ellen Brown and Paul Brown, Cleveland
and Francis Brown, Greenville, Twenty three grandchildren and four
great grandchildren also survive.
The body has been taken to the Miller Funeral Home, Mercer, where it
will remain until tonight, when it will be taken to the residence of
Francis Brown, 21 N. Second St., Greenville. Funeral services will be
held there at 10 a.m., Saturday, conducted by Rev. Dennis O'Mahoney,
pastor of All Saints church. Internment will be in the church
cemetery.
