  Hugh G. Morgan, Sr. 

Hugh G. Morgan, Sr.,  512 Darr Ave., Farrell, formerly of the Neshannock-Bethel Rd:, Hickory Twp., died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday in Sharon General Hospital. Mr. Morgan, who was 70, had been in failing health for three months.


He was born in Wales Jan. 30, 1894, the son of William and Martha Ann Thomas Morgan.


Mr. Morgan had lived in the Shenango Valley for 60 years. In 1951, he retired from the Sharon Steel Corp. after 40 years of service. At the time of his retirement, he was a millwright on blast furnace. 

On Sept. 16, 1915, he married Ethel M. McAllister, who survives along with two daughters, Sara E., wife of Albert T. Jones, and Gladys M., wife of John Mudrak, both of West Middlesex Rd 2, and four sons, Alfred and William H., both of West Middlesex Rd 2; Donald G., Sharon, and Hugh G., Sharon Rd 2, Hickory Twp.

 

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Morgan and Mrs. Lillian McElavey, Sharon, and Mrs. Gladys Anderson, Farrell; Seven brothers, Oswald M; in Florida; William and Sidney, both of Sharon; John and Harry, both of Farrell, and Earl and Alfred, both in California; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
