Other frequently asked questions about the obituary section.

Some of the obituaries in the Obituaries Section are linked to the site for The Herald, Sharon, PA.  When you come across one of these it will say "Local news" at the top.  Scroll down the page until you see "Today's Death Record".  Here's an example.

On the cemetery pages and military rosters, you'll see this symbol for obituary. If you send in an obituary that doesn't mention where the deceased was buried (and you know where they were buried), you might want to send in a Add-A-Grave mentioning which cemetery we need to link the obituary to.  Go to Add-A- Grave.  See an example of the cemetery listings.

How do I add an obituary to the Mercer County site?

It's easy.  There's two ways you can do it.

You can add them through the PARoots boards, just type in the information on the PARoots form.  Click here to go to the obituary boards.

Or you can type the obituary in to an email and email it to me and I'll add it to the Mercer County site for you. Obituaries that were done this way are the ones with the blue lilies.  Click here to see an example.

Either way, all obituaries are linked to from the Obituaries section.  View the the obituaries section.
