Sharon
Boiler Works. —This industry was started in
1868 by S. Runser, William
McGilvray, and William
McGilvray & Co., with a capital of $5,000. Several
years afterward R. G. Morrison
bought Runser's
interest, and the firm became R. G.
Morrison & Co. It so remained until 1878, when the
business was incorporated under the laws of the State as the Sharon
Boiler Works Company, limited, with a capital stock of $16,000. The
organization consists of P. L.
Kimberly, president; D.
B. Shiras, treasurer, and R.
G. Morrison, secretary and general manager.
