The Wapwallopen Cemetery is known locally by many names...Wapwallopen Cemetery, Old River Road Cemetery, Cemetery of the Union Reformed and Lutheran Church. The cemetery is one of the oldest in the area and dates back around 1802. There are still burials taking place at the cemetery, however these records will be only of earlier burials - those before 1900.

Used for this list were some of the church cemetery records (the original church records were written in German and translated and are available on film through the LDS family history center). Also used were some of the WPA records made in the 1930's; plus many other records. These are not just the cemetery files, nor a list of the tombstones and the information written on them, but a list, somewhat alphabetical, of burials which include dates PLUS whatever pertinent information was available through my own research. (When there is an age given at the death, please do your own calculations. Some of these do not calculate properly and not all of the miscalculations have been noted.) Use my information, but please, please, please, remember this is just a guide...not to be taken as gospel! I have made a study of many of the local families, and have tried to be accurate in adding information to the list; but being human have probably made some errors along the way.
