Thomas C Carey

Thomas C. "Tucker" Carey, 1002 Riley St., Taylor, died Sunday afternoon at home after an illness.
His widow the former Kathryn R. Lynch.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Leo A and Mary Theresa Mahon Carey, he was a 1940 graduate of St. Ann's
Monastery High School. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the marine Corps. Prior to retirement,
he was employed as a car insoector for the D & H Railroad. He was a member of St. Ann's Monastery Church, it's
Holy Name Society, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Roundwood Senior Citizens and the Lincoln Heights Post American Legion.
Also surviving are two brothers, paul and Joseph, both of Scranton; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Jerome Horan; two brothers, Lieutenant Leo Carey and John.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Thomas J Hughes Funeral Home, 1240 St. Ann's St., with Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ann's Monastery
Church. Entombment, Cathedral Cemetery.
Friends may call today, 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
