ANNA SCOTT
Miss Anna D. Scott,
25 Welsh Street, Sebastopol, Jenkins Twp., Pa., died Sunday, May 30, at Valley
Crest Nursing Home, Plains, Twp., where she had been a guest one week.
Born [August 9,
1900] in Sebastopol, a daughter of the late Winfield and Margaret Keenan Scott,
she was a lifelong resident of Sebastopol.
She was a member of
St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston, and its Women's Guild; Ladies
Auxiliary of Jenkins Twp. Hose Company, and Cpl. John D. Stark Post 542,
American Legion, West Pittston.
Surviving are a
brother, Winfield; four sisters, Mrs. Thomas King [Agnes] and Miss Margaret
Scott, both of Sebastopol; Mrs. Elizabeth Conaty , R.N., Inkerman; Mrs. Andrew
C. McGowan (Teresa), Avoca; and numerous nieces and nephews. [She was
predeceased by two sisters, Helen and Mary, and three brothers, Charles, John
and William.]
Funeral will be
Wednesday from the Frank Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter,
with Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. Burial,
Parish Cemetery, Pittston. Viewing 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 p.m.

AT HOME
Miss Margaret B.
Scott, 25 Welsh St., Sebastopol, Jenkins
Township, died Monday,
September 13, 1976 at home.
Born [November 25,
1903] in Pittston [actually Sebastopol, Jenkins, Township], daughter of the
late Winfield and Margaret Keenan Scott, she was employed as a bookkeeper by
Sweetheart Candy Co., Old Forge. Miss Scott was a member of St. John the
Evangelist Church, Pittston.
Surviving are a
brother, Winfield, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas King [Agnes],
Sebastopol; Mrs. Elizabeth C. Conaty, Inkerman; and Mrs. Andrew C. McGowan
[Teresa], Avoca, and several nieces and nephews.
A sister, Anna,
died in June. [She was preceded in death by several other brothers and sisters:
Charles, William, John, Helen, and Mary].
The funeral will
Wednesday from Frank A. Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, with
mass at 9 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. Interment parish
cemetery, Pittston. Friends may call today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

CONATY; NURSE, DIES
Mrs. Elizabeth C.
Scott Conaty, RN, 74, 19 Laflin Road, Inkerman, PA, died Thursday (February 22,
1979) in Pittston Hospital. Her husband, Gerard James Conaty, died in 1963.
[Born Feb. 9, 1905]
and daughter of the late Winfield and Margaret Keenan Scott, Mrs. Conaty spent
most of her life in Sebastopol [and Newark, NJ] and graduated Pittston Hospital
School of Nursing. She served on the nursing staff at St. Barnabas Hospital,
New York City.
She was a member of
St. Mark's Church, Inkerman, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are a
sister, Mrs. Andrew C. McGowan [Teresa], Avoca, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by an infant son, Gerard James Conaty, Jr., and by 9
brothers and sisters: Charles, William, John, Mrs. Thomas King [Agnes], Helen,
Mary, Anna, Margaret, and Winfield Scott, Jr.].
The funeral will be
Monday from Frank A. Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, with
mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, Inkerman.
Interment, St. John the Evangelist's Cemetery, Pittston. Friends may call today
7 to 9 p.m., Sunday 2 to 4.
