On Saturday, October 26 1991, at Fairfax Hospital, Edith McGowan of Springfield, VA. Beloved wife of John McGowan; devoted mother of Michael, John, Gerald, James, and Robert McGowan, Patricia Wealty, and Susan Williams.

Also Survived by two brothers, two sisters, and 12 grandchildren. Friends may call at the DeMaine Springfield Annandale Chapel, Backlick and Edsall Rds., Springfield VA, where the family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 7600 Old Keene Mill RD., Springfield, VA, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment Fairfax Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Northern Virginia Chapter, 400 Washington St., Suite 400, Falls Church, Va. 22046.
