Mrs. Mary A. Weaver, aged 61 years, wife of John W Weaver, formerly of 1111 West Washington street, died at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday at her home, 220 Neil street, Niles, O., just a week after moving there from New Castle.
News of the death comes as a shock to her many New Castle friends, for she had been ill only a short time.
Mrs. Weaver was born in Centre county, Pa., on May 3, 1875, daughter of John W. and Mary Kellerman Harris. She had retained her membership in the Methodist church at Scotia, PA.
Surviving are her husband, to whom she was married 41 years ago; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Ryan of McDonald, O., and Mrs. Julia Custer of Polk, Pa.; one son, Howard Weaver, of Niles, O.; her father John W. Harris of Julian, Pa; two brothers, Samuel Harris of Wilkinsburg, and Thompson Harris of Matilda, PA; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. A brother, William Harris of Pine Grove Mills, Pa., died two months ago.
The funeral services will be conducted at the Hodge funeral home in New Castle Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. Richard Owrey of the People's Mission in charge.
