Mrs. Anna McFiggen Watkins
Mrs. Anna McFiggen Watkins, aged 58 years, wife of Phillip A. Watkins, formerly of Neshannock avenue, this city, died at her residence, 70 Hall avenue, Tuesday evening at 10:10 after an extended illness of seven months of complications.
Mrs. Watkins was born at New Virginia, Mercer County, June 22, 1870, a daughter of Samuel and Jane McFiggen, deceased. She had been a resident of New Castle for 35 years, moving to Sharon about a year ago. She attended the First M. E. Church of Sharon and the Pythian Sisters. She was a member of the Second U. P. church of this city.
Besides her husband to whom she was married 38 years ago, she leaves the following children: Robert A. of Cleveland, Phillip A. of New Castle, Mrs. Bertha Stockman of Harbor Bridge, Samuel A. of Sawtelle, CA, Charles A. of Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Ruth Rodkey of Youngstown and Jesse, Jeane, Walter and Paul at home. She also leaves two brothers, Samuel McFiggen of Sharon and Alex McFiggen of Erie and six sisters, Mrs. Jane Locke of Sharpsville, Mrs. Julia Wagner of Akron, OH, Mrs. Agnes Gribble of Sharon, Mrs. Neil Dickerson of Portsmouth, VA, Mrs. Margaret Richmond of Cleveland and Mrs. Hattie Leathed of Detroit and 11 grandchildren. Burial will be made in Greenwood Cemetery, this city. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
