Lemuel Stewart, an old and highly respected resident of this city, died at his home in the First ward Thursday night, aged 86 years. He had resided here for a long time and had the confidence and respect of a large number of people. For several years he had been in poor health, but bore his afflictions manfully and without a murmur. He was a consistent Christian, being a member of the First Baptist church for many years. Deceased leaves four children, Lemuel A. Stewart, Samuel T. Stewart, Charles L. Stewart, and Mrs. Rebecca Logan, all of whom reside in Youngstown. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the First Baptist church; interment in Greenwood cemetery.
