Dr. A. L. Robinson, a prominent physician of Wellsville, O., died at the boarding house of Mrs. Minnie Bauman, 521 South Mill street, this city, Friday evening, from injuries sustained by falling from a streetcar about ten days previous. The accident occurred in Wellsville near the doctor's office. In getting off the car, he lost his footing and was thrown violently to the ground, striking his head on the curb.
As it was evident he was quite badly hurt it was thought best to take him to Pittsburg and he was placed in the Homeopathic hospital in that place where he remained until Thursday. He seemed to be getting along alright and expressed a wish to leave the hospital and come to New Castle, his former home, to recuperate. His wish was granted and he came to this place Thursday, putting himself under the care of Dr. John W. Covert, with whom he had studdied medicine several years ago. Friday he appeared to be doing nicely and it was thought that he would recover. Later in the day a change for the worse set in and about six o'clock he passed away.
The deceased was a son of the late William Robinson, a former well known resident of Pulaski township. He was born in this county 38 years ago and studied medicine with Dr. J. W. Covert. Later he graduated from a medical college and located in Wellsville where he had a good practice. He had a great many friends and his death when just in the prime of life will cause general regret among his acquaintances.
He is survived by one sister and five brothers who are Mrs. Charles Sankey, of Youngstown; Dr. Clarence Robinson and Bert Robinson, of Jeannette; Charles Robinson, of Sistersville, W.Va., Stewart Robinson, of Arkansas, and Milton Robinson, of Dakota.
The body will be shipped by Dunn & Rice to Youngstown Monday. The funeral announcement will be made later.
