Jack W. Rice killed in Viet
Spec. 4 Jack Walter Rice, 21, son of Fred and Shirley Duffy Rice, former residence of Cameron Ave. in Union Township and now of Streetsboro, Ohio was reported killed in action in Vietnam Nov. 13. Details of his death were not available.
He was a graduate of Replogle High School in New Enterprise, Pa., and attended Pittsburgh School of Aeronautics. He was employed by Delta Air Lines in Romulus, Mich., until he was inducted into the Army in November 1967. He went to Vietnam in May of this year and was with the First Calvary near Hue.
Surviving are his parents in Streetsboro; grandparents, Mrs. Walter Duffy of 442 County Line St., New Castle and Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Rice of New Enterprise; three brothers, Keith Edward, Fred Robert Jr., and Jeffrey, all at home; three sisters, Karen Lynn at home, Mrs. Mary Ann Kennedy of Roaring Srings, Pa. and Mrs. Gloria La Flame of Streetsboro.
