Robert M'Claron
We regret to announce the death of Mr. Robert M'Claron, son of Mr. Wm. M'Claron, of Shenango township in this county. He was killed in the battle at Bull Run, on Saturday, the 30th ult., by a bullet wound in his breast. He was a brave defender of his country, having participated in the seven days and seven nights seige before Richmond, when Capt. Miller was killed. He was a member of Company K, 10th regiment Pennsylvania Reserve Corps, having enlisted in New Galilee, Beaver county. He was 29 years of age, and was much esteemed by all with whom he associated. One of his comrads writes that "he was a good soldier - had been well tried - was always at his post both in the camp and in the field. We miss him very much."
