Died Suddenly
We regret to state that our old friend Mr. William M'Conaghy, of North
Beaver Township, in this county, died instantly on Monday morning the 15th
inst. He was on his way to New Castle, and while purchasing a ticket in the
office, at Moravia station, he fell down and expired. He was in his
sixty-second year. Has been a resident of this county for many years,
having come here at an early age, and was one of our best citizens. His
bereaved family have our sympathies in his sudden death.
(He was born 31 July 1814 in County Antrim, Ireland, son of Thomas McConahy
and Agness McKay. He was married, 16 April 1829, to Mary Ann Hennon,
daughter of Joseph Hennon and Margaret Morrow.)
