William Sidney Johnston

William S. Johnston, 81, of 329 Roxbury Road, Shippensburg died Tuesday, May 30, 1995, in Chambersburg Hospital. A son of the late Samuel and Charlotte Dover Johnston he was born in Lawrence Co., AL on April 17, 1914. He worked 28 years at Letterkenny Army Depot and was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during World War II.

Survivors are his wife, Elsie Greenawalt Johnston; stepson, Walter W. Moul of Chambersburg; a step-granddaughter; two step-great-great- grandchildren; two brothers, Lucius E. of New Castle and Leon of Palm City, FL; and two sisters, Beulah Choco of New Castle and Beatrice Fehrenbach of Warren. Masonic services were conducted as well as graveside military services.
