Levi A. Hostetler, 6 years, 11 months, 16 days, of 309 Reithmiller Rd., New Wilmington, Pa 16142, died November 3 (1993) in Youngstown, Ohio.
He was born to Amos D. and Martha A. (Kurtz) Hostetler on November 17, 1986. Levi was born with Bylers disease of the liver, spending a lot of time in and out of the hospital, having many miserable days in his short stay on this earth.
He is survived by his parents, one brother Andy, age 9, who is also afflicted with the same disease, and two healthy sisters, Sylvia and Emma. His maternal grandparents, Andy E. and Elsie D. (Byler) Kurtz, parental grandparents, Minister David A. and Clara D. (Troyer) Hostetler, all of here. Great-grandparents Deacon David J. and Susie A. (Byler) Troyer of Salinesville, Ohio, plus many cousins, uncles, aunts and friends who will miss him.
Funeral services were held at the home on November 5 by an uncle Enos S. Yoder of Friendship, N.Y. Neil G. Wengerd and Joni H. Byler carried the casket. Burial was in the Byler cemetery near New Wilmington, Pa. beside his two little sisters, Susan, who died February 9, 1987, alsmot three years old, and Elsie, who died January 25, 1990, two days before her second birthday. These two were afflicted with a muscle disease. [a poem follows].
