Maggie M. Haskin
Died June 15th, 1863 in her 16th year.
DIED.
On June 15th, 1863, in South New Castle, Maggie M. Haskin, in the 16th year of her age.
Press one kiss upon her forehead,
Gently close those sweet dark eyes;
Do not weep she is only sleeping,
You will meet her in the skies.
The summer flowers are many,
That bud and bloom and fall;
But black-eyed sister Maggie,
Was fairest of them all.
Fold her hands across her bosom,
Kiss that not le (?) brow once more;
Dry you tears and close the coffin,
She is now on Jordan's shore.
A SISTER.

Alexander Haskin
Died at 45 years old.
In Girard, Erie county, on Sept 21st. Mr. ALEXANDER HASKIN, a resident of South New Castle, in the 45th year of his age, his remains were brought home for interment.
Thou art sleeping dearest father,
Beneath the cold damp sod;
But thy spirit, pure, unfettered,
Has gone to dwell with God.
When the cold death damp was stealing,
Slow but surely o'er they frame;
E'er thy quick pulse ceased its beating,
Softly then you breathed his name.
Dearest Father we will struggle
Bravely, till life's battle's o'er:
Knowing that if we are faithful,
We will meet on Canaan's shore.
A DAUGHTER.
