Fred C. Hammond aged 59 years. of 920 Adams street, died at the home of his son, with whom he made his home, Raymond B Hammond,. Sunday morning at 9 o'clock.He had been ill for the past two months.

Mr. Hammond was born October 3or 8 1885, in Mahoningtown, Pa. Son of James E. and Maggie Dotte Hammond. He lived his life in Lawrence county, and worked for the Pennsylvania railroad and also for the P.& L.E railroad. and later was employed at the National Radiator works.

His wife, Mrs Catherine Clive Hammond is deceased.

Surviving is a son Raymon B. Hammond of this city and two grandchildren, Richard Charles and Elleen Mae Hammond;a sister Mrs. Arthur Griffin, R.D.2.Sharon,a brother Harry Hammond , Springfield,O.,and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the R.L.Boyd funeral home. Rev. Oliver Hurst of the First Baptist church. in charge. Interment will be in Valley View cemetery,Friends we be received by the family at the funeral home Monday and Tuesday evening 7 to 9 o'clock.
