Vincent Jay (or James) GARDNER died Friday evening at his home on the Fall Tract after an extended illness. He was 28 years old and a sufferer from Bright's disease. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Gardner, whom he married here about two years ago. He also leaves his parents, William and Jennie (Jane) Gardner and the following brothers and sisters: Victor, Francis X., and Loyola Gardner, Mrs. Sophia Carson, Mrs. Catherine Welsh, Mrs. Lillie Mills, all of this city. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
