Hilary Grant GARDNER, 63, 311 W. Northview Ave., a lifetime resident, died suddenly on Saturday evening at his home. He had just returned from playing golf when he was stricken with a fatal heart attack. He was born in this city on February 23, 1892 to William and Bridget Welch Gardner. His wife, Hazel Marie Hiler Gardner died in 1926 after 11 years of marriage.

Survivors included: children, William G. Gardner, Clement H. Gardner, Mrs. Marie Williamson, Mrs. Thelma Ruth Stevens and Mrs. Vera Hilton, all of this city; brothers Francis Gardner of Cleveland, Ohio, Clement Gardner and Thomas Gardner, both of this city; and 16 grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Mary Fehrenbach died on March 15, 1955. Burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery.
