ANOTHER ROUNDHEAD
WAS LAID TO REST

William Ewing of Wampum, whose funeral was held Monday afternoon, was a member of the famous 100th ("Roundhead") regiment, whose ranks are fast thinning out.

He enlisted when that comnpany was organized and served faithfully and honorably until the close of the war. Rev. Locke of Harlansburg, a comrade of the deceased during the war, spoke feelingly of his record as a soldier, saying that the members of the family should feel justly proud and honored to know that he had served his country so nobly.

The funeral services, which were held in the Methodist church of Wampum, were attended by a large number of friends. Rev. J. C. Womer of this city, Rev. Locke and Rev. Livingston of Wampum officiated.

At the cemetery the services were in charge of the Wampum Post 381, G.A.R., the service of the Grand Army of the Republic being used.
