The death angel, attended by its sorrowful work, entered the home of
Robert T. DICKS of Washington township and summoned to his realm above the
head of that pleasant home. Mr. Dicks was aged 70 years and had spent most
of the time near the place of the sad occurrence. He was a prominent
citizen, upright in all his dealings with God and man and expired holding
the friendship of his neighbors and all those acquainted with him. His
funeral occurred at 10 o'clock Thursday morning and the remains were
followed to the grave by a large connection and many sorrowing friends. He
was a consistent Christian and a conscientious man.
