Frank A Crowe, Sr., 74, prominent and well-known farmer of Venango Township, died early this morning. Mr. Crowe is a former New Castle business man and for a number of years conducted a grocery store on East Long Avenue. He was born in Saegertown, PA, on May 24, 1866. His wife, Mary Olive Thompson Crowe, preceded him in death five years ago. Surviving children are: Mabel Crowe Tinsley of New Castle, Josephine Quay of Dunkirk, NY, Mary Luffler of North Olmstead, OH, Frank A. Crowe, Jr. of Venango, Blanche Matthews of Cambridge Springs, John E. Crowe of Dayton, OH, and Robert E. Crowe of Meadville. There are 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Edith Hall of Meadville and one brother, William Crowe of Ridgeway, PA. Interment in Oak Park Cemetery in New Castle.
