Mary G. Donegan Clingan, 84, of 120 W. Northview Ave. died at 12:45 p.m. March 27, 1984, in her residence after a brief illness.
She was born on March 16, 1900, in New Castle to John and Ella Quinn Donegan. She was married to William M. Clingan on Sept. 27, 1928. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1978.
She was a member of St. Camillus Roman Catholic Church, the woman's Ecclesion Club and the Ladies Christian Benevolent Association.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Zipfel and Mrs. Leo (Ruth) Zipfel both of Baltimore, Betty Krajewski and Mrs. Theodore (Margaret) Wallas, both of New Castle and Mrs. Roy (Wilma) Lyons of Lakewood, Ohio, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ella Mae Clingan; a brother, John Donegan; three sisters, Katherine Vallely, Agnes Frey, Gertrude Morretti; and one grandchild, Sara Lee Proctor.
Visiting hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. tomorrow in J. Bradley McGonigle Memorial Home Inc. 111 W. Falls St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Camullus Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. George Leech, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetary.
