Wesley Elijah Cartwirght, R.D. 9, died at the age of 100 years, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at his home, from infirmities of old age. Mr. Cartwright was born in Ironton, Ohio, June 1, 1853, son of Elijah Wesley and Margaret Kaufman Cartwright. He lived for 76 years in this city and was a retired machinist for the Pennsylvania railroad. Two sons survive, Alfred B. cartwright and Frank S. Cartwright, both of New Castle; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. from the John R. Bigler funeral home, 1018 S. Mill street. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
