MRS. MABEL M. BOYER

Mrs. Mabel Mae Shaffer Boyer, 87, of 510 E. Meyer Ave., died at 1:15 p.m. yesterday in Jameson Memorial Hospital after an illness of eight months.

She was born in Franklin on Jan. 16, 1887, to the late William Henry and Laura M. Marshall Shaffer.

Mrs. Boyer was a member of the Church of God.

Her husband, Charles N. Boyer, died in August of 1962.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Eleanor) Actman of New Castle; two sons, Grant Arlo of New Castle and William Harold of Ellwood City; 12 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson and a great-grandson.

Friends will be received at the William G. Tanner Mortuary, Highland and Winter Avenues from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary conducted by the Rev. Gary Swogger of the Church of God. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
