Issaac Walker Book, aged 75, well known and life long resident of
Lawrence County, died Sunday, December 30, 1928 at 6:45 a.m. at his
home, 1018 Becker street, after an illness of ten days due to pneumonia.
Mr. Book was born in Slippery Rock township, June 2, 1853, the son of
William and Nancy Taylor Book.
He had been a resident of this city for quite a number of years and was
a member of the Central Presbyterian church. He is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Mary Book, and the following children, W. S. Book, this city, Mrs.
Nora Ellison of Fowler, Colorado, J. H. Book of Yellowstone Park, C. A.
Book, Monroe, California, L. E. Book, this city and J. F. Book, this
city, also two sisters, Mrs. Robert White and Mrs. Iola Boak, both of
R.D. No. 4, also seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The funeral services will be held from the Herman Presbyterian church
Tuesday, January 1, 1929, at 2 p.m. Interment will be made in Herman Church cemetery.
