Mrs. Myrtle Erwin Black, 83, R.D. 7, died in her home yesterday at 6:30 p.m. after having been in failing health for some time. She had lived in the area for 46 years. Born in Bruin, Pa., May 11, 1878, to James and Mary Erwin, she was affiliated with the Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mary Black, at home; Mrs. Emma Lodwick, North Lima, O.; sons Harry C. Black, New Castle; Samuel and Lawrence Black, R.D. 7; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons,Jjames and George Black. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Cunningham Funeral Home, Bessemer. Friends will be received in the funeral home today and tomorrow 7 to 9 p.m.
