Erysipelas was fatal - following typhoid fever it caused the death of T. H. Anderson
Thomas Anderson, for many years a resident of New Castle, died Sunday after an extended illness. Some time ago Mr. Anderson contracted typhoid fever. From this attack he was just recovering when erysipelas set in. His weakened constitution succumbed to the disease and he passed way as related.
Mr. Anderson was born in Butler County 54 years ago and resided there until 24 years of age. He then came to Lawrence County where he had ever since resided on Good Avenue just over the line of Shenango Township.
Funeral on Wednesday at 2 pm. Interment at Normal Glen Cemetery, carriages from the Dunn & Rice Company.

Thomas H. Anderson died at the home of his son, Harrison Anderson, in Shenango Township Sunday, aged 54 years. Mr. Anderson had been ill for some time. He was first attacked with typhoid fever but had recovered from this when erysipelas set in and this was the cause of death. The deceased was born in Butler County but had resided in this city for a number of years.
