Surviving are his widow, Mrs Zoe Biss, and these children: Mrs Gale BERRINGER of Uniontown, Indiana County; William BISS of Canfield, Ohio; J.Z. BISS, residing in the state of Maryland. The body may be viewed at the Rairigh Funeral Home in Hillsdale until 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, when funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Rex Brickle of Hillsdale. | Bone | Richard | Richard BONE, a resident of Reynoldsville for the past 47 years, died in his home Wednesday morning at the age of 73 years, of a heart condition following a protracted illness. The deceased was born April 22, 1863, in England, a son of the late Mr and Mrs Robert BONE. He came to this country when a young man and on February 14, 1895, was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth BINNEY, of Reynoldsville . The couple had lived in Reynoldsville since their marriage. Mr Bone was a member of the Methodist Church and belonged to the I.O.O.F. and Knights of Pythias. He was well known thruout the Reynoldsville section where his death is sincerely mourned by his myriad friends. Surviving are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Jay GOULD, of Reynoldsville, and the following brothers and sisters: George BONE of Punxsutawney, Walter BONE of Dixonville, Henry BONE of Barnesboro, William BONE of Verona, Robert and Thomas BONE of Reynoldsville; Mrs Jennie KIRKMAN, of Indiana, and Mrs Margaret EISLEY, of Wilkinsburg. | Diamond | James | James DIAMOND, Johnstown, February 19--James Diamond, 66, an employee of the Harris-Boyer Baking Company for the last 20 years, and an outstanding member of Calvary Methodist Episcopal Church, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in his home, 156 D Street. Death was attributed to a complication of ailments. Mr Diamond was born in Blacklick Township, Indiana County a son of John and Elizabeth (HESS) DIAMOND, both deceased. He came to Johnstown when a young man and worked in Morrellville until about 20 years ago when he became affiliated with the Harris-Boyer Company. Active in church affairs, Mr Diamond was a member of the Board of Trustees and chief usher in the Calvary M. E. Church. He also served as secretary of the Sunday school. Prominent in fraternal organizations, he was a trustee in the Sons of Veterans, a past president of the P.A.L., and a trustee of the Memorial Hall Association. Surviving are his widow, Mrs Anna (McCLEARY) DIAMOND, and the following children--Clyde DIAMOND of 4 Brixn!er Alley, John DIAMOND of 70 D street, Louis DIAMOND of 115 Fairfield avenue, and Arvella, wife of Thomas CALLISTER of 158 D Street. Mr Diamond was a brother of Mrs Elva MACK of Indiana County and John DIAMOND of the State of Ohio. He also leaves a half-sister, Mrs Lizzie BUCHANAN of Corrine street: a half-brother, Harrison SKYLES of Indiana County, and a step-brother, Robert SKYLES of Oakhurst. | Fennell | Lebbeus | John | Front Page - Father-In-Law of Coroner Dies From Stroke Lebbeus John FENNELL, connected with the West Penn Railways Company for twenty years prior to 1930, when he and his wife came to Indiana to make their home with their son-in-law and daughter, Coroner and Mrs John WOODS, Lebbeus John FENNELL passed away in the Woods home at 1:50 p.m. yesterday. He was in his 75th year and death was due to cerebral hemorrhage. He was born August 24, 1862, in New Alexandria, and until removing to Latrobe in 1900 had always lived in that section. Mr and Mrs FENNEL came to Indiana in 1930 and in June, 1932, Mrs FENNELL was injured fatally in an automobile accident. Mr FENNELL had long been a member of the Presbyterian Church and was connected with the Woodmen of the World. His cheery presence about the Woods home and elsewhere where he was wont to mingle with friends, will be sadly missed. Surviving are these children: Mrs John WOODS of Indiana; Thomas W FENNELL of Richmond, Va., and Mrs Martha LONG of Los Angeles, Calif. He was a brother of Homer FENNELL of near New Alexandria and Sheridan FENNELL of Greensburg. Mrs Long is flying east and was to arrive at the Pittsburgh airport shortly after 3 o'clock this afternoon. GOURLEY of Mingo Junction, O., former resident of Big Run and Punxsutawney, died in his Ohio home Tuesday evening after several months' illness at the age of sixty years. A son of Mr. and Mrs. George Gourley, he was born in Big Run, April 19, 1876. Attending school in that town, he was employed as a clerk in the Dr. S.S. Hamilton Drug Store for some time, after which he attended medical school in Columbus, Ohio. He practiced in New Alexander, and later in Mingo Junction, O., until his death. A member of the Presbyterian Church of Mingo Junction, he belonged to the Masonic Lodge for a number of years. The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eva Gourley, and two daughters, Miss Martha Gourley and Mrs. Arthur ZEIGLER, of Steubensville, O. Two grandchildren also survive as well as the following brothers and sisters: R. S. Gourley and S. H. Gourley, of Big Run; Lon E. Gourley, of Akron, O., and Mrs. John MILLER of Big Run. | Hopkins | A | Murray | Alexander Murray Hopkins, son of John and Miriam (WORK) HOPKINS was born February 4, 1857, and died September 13, 1936. Death was caused by complications following pneumonia. His life was practically all spent in East Mahoning township. He was married (first) to Rosetta HAMILTON, on March 12, 1891, and her death occurred February 14, 1904. To this union were born three children: Mark of Portland, Ore., Mary, wife of Lester STEELE of East Mahoning township and Grace, who died in infancy. In December, 1909, he was married (second) to Amanda Margaretta THOMPSON, who survives. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs Myra COLE of Fort Morgan, Colo., and three grandchildren: Horace, Donald, and Marjorie STEELE. Mr Hopkins was a member of the Mahoning United Presbyterian Church. From childhood he was a faithful attendant and in later years served as superintendent of the Sabbath School or teacher and for many years a ruling elder. He was interested in music, being a song leader before the adoption of instrumental music in the church. As a citizen he stood for that which makes a true man--temperance, honesty and education--serving as school director for many years. His unswerving fidelity to his Bible and the truths contained therein marked him as a man of the faith, who, with the Psalmist, could say: "I delight to do Thy will." Funeral services were conducted in Mahoning Church Tuesday afternoon, in charge of his pastor, the Rev Samuel W Shane and interment was in the church cemetery. | September 18, 1936 |

The deceased was born March 14, 1871, in Trade City, a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Jacob DORMIRE. She was united in marriage 46 years ago to Edgar KERR of Smicksburg. Following their marriage the couple resided in DuBois, coming here in 1914. Mrs. Kerr was a devout member of the English Lutheran Church. She was held in high esteem by her many friends in Punxsutawney, where her death is sincerely mourned. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Walter, of Whittier, Calif., and Fred, at home; three brothers; William DORMIRE, of Covode; Curt DORMIRE of Trade City, Harvey DORMIRE, of DuBois, and a half-sister, Mrs. Johnson SHEESLEY, of Big Run. The body will remain in the Jordan Funeral Home here until Saturday at 1 p.m. when it will be taken to the English Lutheran Church, there to lie in state until 2 o'clock, when services will be conducted by Rev. SMITH, a native of Beach Haven, Luzerne County, where he was born December 19, 1848, father of Raymond F. Smith of Indiana, died Wednesday morning, February 3, at his home in Clearfield. He was a retired minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church. A son of Isaac and Matilda (FORTNER) Smith, his boyhood days were spent on a farm near Nescopek, the family home later being removed to Berwick. He was graduated form Dickinson Seminary with the class of 1872 and the following year entered the Central Pennsylvania Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. His appointments included those of Orangeville, Washingtonville, Elysburg (?), Muhlenburg, Gordan and Helfenstein, Stockton and Beaver Meadow, Grand Island, Fairview, Glen Hope, New Washington, Howard, Lightstreet, Cassville, Mahaffey, Woodland and Bradford, Airville, Munson, Cherrytree, Mapleton and Mill Creek. He served three pastorates and Orangeville and retired from the active ministry in 1923. On February 10, 1876, he was united in marriage with Esther Alice GIRTON. Mrs Smith passed away July 24, 1926. Surviving are six children: A. Haven SMITH of Orange, Calif., Miss Alma and Miss Mida M. SMITH, both of Clearfield; Mrs. B.K. STEWART of Birmingham, Pa., Mrs. Charles J. LEPPERD of Pottstown, and Raymond F SMITH of Indiana. Five grandchildren --B. KELLAR and Nadine STEWART, Ruth and Norman LEPPERD, and Harry R SMITH --also survive. | Thompson | Robert | Robert THOMPSON, John HAUCK DuBois, Jan 15. An automobile stuck and killed Robert THOMPSON, 40, a pedestrian today, the second fatal traffic accident in DuBois within 24 hours. Coroner Williams said W. Haley BETTS, Clearfield County superintendent of highways and former assemblyman, drove the car. An inquest will be held later. TILTON, head of the Department of Mathematics at Indiana State Teachers College from 1924 to 1936, died in her home at 929 Hazel street Danville, Ill., today of a complication of diseases. Miss Tilton had been in ill health for some time, having resigned her educational post for that reason last June. She is survived by one sister, Miss Clara Tilton, and three brothers, Roy and Edward of Danville, and Frank of Chicago. Funeral arrangements were not available today. | March 19, 1937 |
| Toth | Margaret | Mrs Margaret TOTH, 48, mother of 11 children, died of complications shortly after noon yesterday in Indiana Hospital where she had been a patient since Christmas. Her home was in Kent. A native of Austria-Hungary, Mrs TOTH was the wife of Andrew TOTH and had resided in Kent for the last 16 years. Prior to that she lived in Clymer. Surviving are her husband, eight sons, Steve and John, both of Garfield, New Jersey; Andrew Jr of Kent; Louis of McIntyre and Joseph, Charles, Thomas and Gaylord TOTH, all at home, and three daughters, Mrs Davis SETLOCK of Kent, Mrs George ZAGATES of Indiana and Miss Julia TOTH at home. TRUXAL, DuBois, Feb 19--in the death of Mrs Eva K TRUXAL, who passed away at her home on Third street at 6:00 a.m. Thursday, the community of DuBois lost a woman who had been prominently identified in the development of DuBois and one who took a keen interest in civic affairs of the city until the day of her death. Mrs. Truxal, who was 88 years of age, died following a short illness. Despite her advanced years, Mrs. Truxal had enjoyed good health until a short time ago. Up until three weeks ago she was physically able to be around, and her keen mind retained all faculties until the end. Mrs Truxal was born in Saltsburg, Pa., on September 20, 1848. She was united in marriage to Logan M TRUXAL in Apollo, Pa., in 1871, and resided for a short time in Leechburg, later moving with her family to DuBois, coming here in the early eighties. Her husband known locally as Captain Truxal was associated with the DuBois lumbering interests as bookkeeper. The deceased is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs I. L. RICH, Bess TRUXAL, A. L. TRUXAL, and Ralph TRUXAL, all of DuBois; Mrs Charles BARNETTE. of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs Nellie ZELL, of Brockway. Two sisters Miss Clara BLAIR, of Union City, and Miss May KELLEY, and one brother Charles of Apollo, also survive, as do nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the home, Third street, East Side, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be made in Greenwood. | Friday February 19, 1937 |

WEEKS, former secretary of the YMCA in Indiana, died in his home at Derry at 12:20 a.m. today following a heart attack last Wednesday night. Mr Weeks was born Nov 3, 1884 in Oswego, NY, son of Rev Silas D and Mildred H WEEKS. He joined his father in the YMCA service in 1903, serving as assistant secretary in Massachusetts and West Virginia and was promoted to general secretary in 1912. He married Miss Ella KLINE, of Reynoldsville, Pa., June 7, 1912. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg, Lamont Lodge F. & A. M., Tall Cedars of Lebanon and Secretary of the Derry Ministerial Association. He is survived by his mother, his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Virginia CAMPBELL, Mrs. Mildred BOVARD and Miss Ella Jean WEEKS, all of Derry; three sisters, Mrs. H. F. LAWRENCE, of Pottssville; Mrs A. N. MORRIS, of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs Dean W FREE, of Cleveland, and three brothers, Charles D and Harvey D WEEKS of Huntingdon, W. Va. Friends will be received at the family home until 2:00 p.m. Sunday when the body will be removed to the Derry Reformed Church, there to lie in state until 3:00 p.m. when services will be conducted. Ten days following the death of his wife, Clarence A Williams, 77, suffering from pneumonia and complications, died at his home in White township at 10 p.m. Thursday. A native of Gaskill township, Jefferson county, he was born January 2, 1860, a son of John and Mary (KENDALL) WILLIAMS. Some 39 years ago he, with his family, moved to White township, where he had since resided. In his early manhood, he followed the lumber business. May 13, 1890, he was married to Miss Mary FINDLEY of White township. Surviving are these children: Mrs John M KRING of Edri, Luther S WILLIAMS of White township, and George K WILLIAMS, at home. A son, Thomas, died a year ago. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Mrs Anna GIBSON of Punxsutawney, Mrs. Cassius GEER of Brookville, Mrs Walter F GRUBE of Punxsutawney, Miss Rhesa F WILLIAMS of Lake Toxaway, NC. Mr Williams was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Indiana. Funeral services will be conducted in his late residence at 2 p.m. Sunday. Her death occurred in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Tarentum, where she was removed some time ago after suffering the fracture in a fall at her home. The widow of Robert YOUNG, she had resided in Saltsburg for the last 13 years and prior to that had lived in England. Surviving are two sons, Frederick W. of Saltsburg and James YOUNG of England, and two daughters, Mrs Elizabeth DUNN and Mrs Charles SIMPSON both of Saltsburg, 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral services will take place at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the DUNN home at Saltsburg with Rev W. L. Morgan, Saltsburg Methodist minister in charge.
